English

My name is Justyna.

Thank you for visiting my blog. My goal is to present IT as and interesting and fun domain, and a good career option for people with even the smallest inclinations towards computers and science.

Of course, as it is a personal weblog, I sometimes write about other, non-IT related stuff that I find important.

I am currently employed as a Technical Product Manager in a Polish office of an American Internet/media company. I still consider myself a practitioner! I have the biggest experience in Java, and have spent the majority of my career working in the field of Natural Language Processing. I sometimes translate or edit IT articles and books.

I think knowledge sharing is important, so sometimes I speak at conferences or conduct workshops.

I like contemporary literature, graphic novels, alternative rock and traveling. I live in Poznań, Poland with my husband, child and dog.

This is my second blog. The first one was called Girl Lost in IT.

girllostinit-enI wrote in Polish and in English about computers, being a girl in IT, and about anything that moved me in any way. I have decided to start anew mostly because I do not have time to translate the posts. Another reason was that I have stopped feeling that being female is a defining factor that needed to be mentioned in the title.

In this new space I plan to concentrate on computer science in a friendly, explaining tone. In Polish… So, keep your fingers crossed for machine translation! 🙂
